Dioptres (D/dpt./PWR)
Power refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

What are the main benefits of TOTAL30 Multifocal contact lenses?
- Precision Profile Design ensures smooth visual transitions between near, intermediate and far distances.
- Gradient water content - the water content is 55% at the core of the lens and nearly 100% on the outer surface, creating a gentle cushion of moisture to provide exceptional comfort.
- Celligent technology helps reduce bacteria and lipid adhesion to keep contact lenses clean all month long. Polymer nanofibers on the surface of the lenses resist bacteria molecules, allowing for significantly less biofilm formation.
