Dioptres (D/dpt./PWR)
Power refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

Due to their high-wearing comfort, SofLens 38 daily contact lenses are ideal for first-time lens wearers. They’re tinted for easier handling. Soflens 38 are an alternative to Optima FW, and transition between the two models does not require an optician consultation.
SofLens 38 are contact lenses designed for daily wear which, with the consent of an eye specialist, can have a replacement period up to 3 months. The 2 weeks to 3 months replacement period depends on the recommendation of a contactologist who should determine the most suitable wearing schedule.
