Dioptres (D/dpt./PWR)
Power refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

Clariti® 1 day are daily contact lenses from CooperVision, which are manufactured with the best material silicone-hydrogel.
It offers its users a unique WetLoc technology that keeps the contacts naturally moisturized and comfortable throughout the day while providing great vision and high wear comfort.
The Clariti® 1 day contact lenses contain a higher amount of water content, which is the essence of comfortable use of contacts. These unique properties of Clariti 1 day contact lenses come as a result of the WetLoc™ technology. What usually happens, is that lenses attract and keep the water molecules to their surface and remain moisturized throughout the day. The moisture component is evenly distributed throughout the lens surface and mimics the natural state of hydration of a healthy human eye.
Silicone-hydrogel lenses are a healthier alternative to hydrogel lenses. They release more oxygen to the cornea and, because of their high breathability, the eyes stay healthier.
Did you know that clariti 1 day contact lenses provide three times more oxygen permeability than the usual hydrogel overnight contacts, allowing 100% oxygenation of the cornea under the lens? They also have a UV filter.
In addition, clariti 1 day has UV filters that enhance the protection of the cornea from the negative effects of ultraviolet radiation. However, since contacts do not cover the entire eye, or eye area, it's recommended to put on a pair of sunglasses with UV protection.
