Dioptres (D/dpt./PWR)
Power refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

Biotrue ONEday for presbyopia are daily multifocal contact lenses specially designed to provide clarity of vision for those suffering from presbyopia. Their latest 3-Zone design uses the natural properties of the eye when focusing close up, far away, and everywhere in between. This provides an effective solution for vision correction at all distances.Biotrue OneDay for Presbyopia are made of HyperGel material called Nesofilcon A which combines the properties of classical hydrogel and silicone hydrogel, i.e. high water content and a high oxygen permeability. The HyperGel technology operates on the principle of active ingredients contained in the upper layer of the lens material. These substances are involved in the creation of the lipid layer, which prevents dehydration of the lens. They then remain pleasantly moist and retain the excellent optical performance throughout their wear. The water content of Biotrue OneDay lenses is 78%, which is comparable to the percentage of water contained in the cornea.
The UV filter in contact lenses increases the protection of the cornea from the dangerous ultraviolet radiation. However, lenses do not cover the entire eye or eye area, so the combination of contact lenses that have UV filter and sunglasses is the ideal protection against harmful UV rays.
