Dioptres (D/dpt./PWR)
Power refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

Air Optix Plus HydraGlyde are spherical monthly contact lenses from Alcon. They are using the HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix technology which ensures that the lens surface stays hydrated throughout the day.
The contacts guarantee high oxygen permeability and their unique SmartShield technology protects them from getting damaged and resists lipid deposits. A big advantage of the Air Optix Plus HydraGlyde contacts is the fact that they can be occasionally worn continuously, day and night, for up to 6 days, they retain moisture and are resistant to lipid deposits.
